WILTELCOM, opened its first branch in Southeast Complex, Cotabato City on October 1999. Due to a strong consumer demand, considering mobile phones at that time were the latest digital product to hit the market, he opened three more stores within a span of one year.
With the huge potential market in this line of business, WILTELCOM expanded and moved to the booming City of Davao and opened its first branch here on February 28, 2000. Since the day it operated, WILTELCOM has committed itself to providing quality service to its customers. This resulted in customer loyalty which also made it possible for WILTELCOM to open additional branches inside major shopping malls in Davao City.
The success that WILTELCOM has achieved can be attributed to the vision, leadership and hard work of Wilson Lu. As an entrepreneur who started out young, he discovered that growth in any venture can be achieved thru dedication, persistence and consistent delivery of quality products and service.
Mobile technology has tremendously changed our lives positively, in terms of convenience, accessibility and speed. From banking, document processing, communications and other forms of personal and business transactions, mobile tech is the way to go. No wonder mobile retail industry had exponentially boomed in the past 2 decades. Over the years, mobile technology has become our way of life. A mobile retail store, the brainchild of Mr. Wilson Lu. He found out that there was a pressing demand for mobile devices, so he delivered the need of the public by providing a variety of options for people to choose from based on their personal preference, purchasing capability and their specific needs. He also deliberately opened up stores to strategic locations such as inside major shopping malls.
Banana telecommunications and Pineapple Mobile Group tarted out as a Major Distributor of Smart Communications Inc. After 6 months of consistently hitting monthly targets, in April 2008, Mr. Wilson Lu’s determination and commitment to service along with the support of its allies in the telecommunications industry, the company was able to achieve a remarkable growth in terms of revenue and target sales. Through the years, Wiltelcom has become a powerhouse in the Telecommunication retail and distribution. Currently, the company holds 10 telecom brands, associated with individual concept stores per brand and a total of 86 stores around Visayas and Mindanao.
And because of the rising urbanization of not only Davao City’s outskirt communities but also other areas of the Visayas and Mindanao region, in order to serve the growing Telecom demands, Wiltelcom’s growth and expansion has also become a commanding need. Banana Telecommunications Inc. thru its flagship store Wiltelcom has consistently held its position at the top of the Telco Industry in the region. Proof to this is the apparent advantage of a brand when they are sold at Wiltelcom stores.
